June!

We still cannot believe its already JUNE! With the last few weeks of school upon us, we remember all the fun we've had and prepare for whats ahead! But first, lets talk about what we're looking forward to this Summer!

May!

A very busy month ahead- Students have been anxiously awaiting and preparing for Communion Day. The girls have also been working on our Informative Writing Unit where students will be able to write pieces packed with key points and details on the topic of their choice. Students were also able to meet with an author who shared the most sacred writing tips for a young writer.
The girls had a BLAST.

April!

This month students have been working hard on editing their Poetry books! They also have been working hard with Kindergarten on revising, editing, and sharpening their writing skills. Second Grade has also been identifying, predicting and analyzing changes that occur in different materials. Take a look at what we have been up to!

January!

This month the girls have been putting their best foot foward embarking on their journey into 2019! We have discussed our New Year Resolutions, and expressed our new goals. This month we have also learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his accomplishments! We have also been working on our Fiction Unit. The students have created 'If, Then' Fictional stories where they learn to emulate their favorite authors and illustrators! We have been challenged in all subjects and are looking forward in what the future has in store for February!

Our 'I Have A Dream' Bulletin Board! Writing was done after hearing a snippet of Dr. King's speech from Scholastic News! We then took his dream, and connected it to our own dreams!

Our 'Mitten Math' Bulletin Board! Students were challenged with Subtraction Regroup and no regrouping strategies using two digit numbers. Students were able to show their work, and work with peers to find the differences!

Our 'Thank You Dr. King' Bulletin Board!

Key details are so important in understanding what really happened!

After watching a video on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we had the chance to write down what we learned and answer questions!
